• There is not a pilot flame, this unit utilizes electric igniters (kind of like tiny sparkplugs). When you light one burner, all the igniters spark at the same time, this is normal.

• You turn the knob to "ignite," listen for a little tick-tick-tick indicating the flame has started, and then turn the knob to the desired heat setting.
