“For washer WFW5605MW - I tried adding liquid detergent in the compartment to the max line and it all drained away as i was pouring. Why did this happen? Does this have Optimal Dispense? Where did my detergent go?”

It will not drain away if you leave it out and slowly push it in. Try that. It work for me
