“Can you use the faucet option to add detergent, put clothes in, choose your load and press start and it keep the soap and water in the machine that you already put in there? If no, how can you put soap in there with water before putting clothes in?”

Hello! The faucet feature will not keep the water in the washer before the cycle. You may place your soap in the tub before starting the washer but we do not recommend adding extra water. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.
