We appreciate your feedback and sincerely apologize for any negative experience; we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible support. Please review the following troubleshooting tips for your washer’s agitation process: Washer Agitation Troubleshooting 1. Unbalanced Load Check An unevenly distributed load can cause an “off-balance” condition, leading to noise, vibration, reduced spin speed, longer cycle times, and decreased performance. This typically occurs during the spin cycle. Signs: Loud noises, excessive shaking, and clothes remaining wet after the cycle. Washer Response: The washer attempts to self-correct an out-of-balance load by refilling and gently rotating to redistribute clothing. If this fails, an error message will display. Resource: Review Washer is Unbalanced or Overloaded for how to correct and prevent unbalanced loads. https://producthelp.whirlpool.com/Laundry/Washers/Product_Info/Washer_Tips_and_Tricks/Top_Load_HE_Washer_is_Unbalanced_or_Overloaded 2. Correct Cycle Selection Selecting a low-water wash cycle instead of a deep fill may impede correct agitation. Recommendation: Use cycles that provide higher water levels, such as bulky. We recommend selecting the correct cycle based on your laundry type. Incorrect cycle selection can result in poor wash performance and tangled clothing. Refer to your Owner's Manual for cycle recommendations, as availability varies by machine. Note: These cycles may increase your washer's time and energy consumption. Adding extra water is also not recommended, as it can cause clothes to float, hindering proper agitation, and may dilute the detergent. https://youtu.be/cvDY5e-HL8MIf If the issue persists, we recommend contacting Whirlpool® directly at 800-253-1301 for further assistance.
