• A:Answer Of course you can use them. The question is will they work well. The answer is for some things and maybe. The stove top is smooth glass and is indirect transference of heat. For that to happen well, the smooth stove top must be in constant contact with a smooth vessel bottom. The cast iron item does not have a smooth bottom so the heat transfer is not as effective. So, the answer is: for some things but not in general.

• A:Answer Look where you're current stove/oven is. You'll see either a 4 prong twist-lock 240v or a 3 prong 240v. You'll be asked to but a new "stove installation kit" with the cable of your choice. But if you know what your doing you can use the old power cable. You'll have to install the cable yourself or have someone do it for you. It doesn't come with the cable pre-installed
