It shuts off either when the selected humidity is reached or when the internal bucket fills up to the full level. If you plumb in a gravity drain it shuts off only at the selected humidity setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is supposed to shut off when that humidity level is reached, but we’ve had it for several days now, and I have not seen it do that. It also is continually froze. I did not see any of the reviews that it froze this much, so that could be just this unit which we are returning. I really love it otherwise I wish it worked because we just had to get rid of another one that was broken when we got it. But so far it has performed as planned.
