“The Whirlpool 12 cycle gas dryer says ventless. Is that true? If it really is ventless, that might make it easier to place, and fit in different locations in the house, not necessarily where the old dryer's vent was.”

Never encountered that claim in my research before purchase, but I can't see how a dryer could possibly work with out a vent. this one certainly requires one. We used to have a device that we ran the dryer vent duct into that would trap the lint and add humidity to our dry air. Tossed it after awhile.
