The taller the machines are, the harder it is to retrieve washed items.  I cannot reach inside the drum of the washer.  I'm 5'2"  I have to use a "reacher" to grab things.

Once you install the leveling adjuster in the washer the height is the same.m

I also wish they were the same height, however I have a large laundry sorter in my laundry room and I use the top surface of this sorter to lay my clothes on top while getting out of the dryer. I do agree the same height would have been nice.

Mine are of equal height. Can you use the leveling knobs at the bottom of the washing machine to make it even.

Mine doesn't set side by side and it isn't that noticeable.
