My new unit always shows the incorrect room humidity level. I placed my humidity gauge right next to the unit. The unit is always off by 10 to 15%RH. I would suggest purchasing a small humidity gauge (I bought mine on Amazon) and use that as the real humidity level, then adjust your unit to a level that will stop when the true humidity level has been reached that you desire from the small humidity gauge.
