This washer is a lemon. I owned one for about 4 years and the machine had to be repaired 6 times.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dear Valued Consumer: We would not recommend a top load washer to take care of a king size comforter. Model WTW5500XW, like any other Cabrio washer, uses a minimal amount of water. The water will come from the bottom of the basket on this unit. The water mixes with the detergent and then the wash plate at the bottom of the basket (floats inside the washer) moves back and forth just like a normal agitator. The basket moves opposite than the wash plate so it tumbles your clothes just like a normal top load does. The wash plate pulls the clothes into the center and then back out where the basket will guide them right back to the wash plate. You may want to look into a top load washer that will tumble your clothing as it saturates them with the water and detergent. Thank you for your interest in our Whirlpool washer.
