The steam function works well on both the washer and dryer. The dryer is good for dress shirts and the like to get wrinkles out. The washer seems to get deep stains out nicely.

But, when I was buying the washer, I could get this one with steam for about $25 more than a comparable machine without it, so I decided I might as well get it. It is still nice to have.
