“My door entry is 28". Not one 11/12" more will fit. Can the back be taken off, making dryer less in depth until enters room? I have taken my 5600 model totally apart so am experienced but cannot see the side or back view of this model to be able to tell.”

This is Tina. The dryer fit into the 28" doorway with only a slight diagonal twist right where the vent tube sticks out. And the back does come off if needed because none of it is behind anything else that needs to come off first.

And I did call Best Buy to see if the back would come off and they said it would not and also told me it would not fit. I think the person on the phone simply put me on hold and didn't check or measure it at all. However, I bought the set based on the pictures that the back obviously comes off, and measurements were only off a slight bit and I took a chance. I would have removed my door frame from my wall if I had to. Sooo... I did not have to take off the back. In my post I said "if" you had to take it off. However, it fit just fine.
