“Can this washer be used in a unheated basement? I have seen many posts about front loading washers not working in rooms under 60 degrees. This would be a problem in our unheated laundry room, the average temp is 50. I have read that the oil gets too thick under 60 degrees. Will a Whirlpool work in a room that is under 60 regularly?”

Dear Consumer: Per page 3 of the Installation Instructions. Do not install, store or operate washer where it will be exposed to weather or in temperatures below 32° F (0° C).
