QuestionDoes the door open down or to the side?This is the only thing that bugs us about the Whirlpool Duet Washer. Since the door opens to the side it is difficult to get clothes out without them falling on the floor. I do not want a dryer unless the door opens downward, allowing the clothes to rest there while you hang them up.

- Answer Hi Ann Just go back to Best Buy where you purchased the dryer and they can match you up with the washing machine and stacking kit , both machines are great together.
