Hi Jeff, The unit does have self evaporating feature but only if you use it in that mode. In this mode, the compressor is not turned on so it will not cool your room. It basically acts like a fan and evaporates the water inside it into your room slowly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not needed to drain the unit in the month I've been running it. Vermont is not super humid but it has been worse than usual this summer. So far the unit has been great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is self evaporating, yes - meaning it channels moisture build up out through it's exhaust hose... It must be set correctly using the remote - there are several coded settings using symbols with which you should familiarize yourself...do not set the unit to dehumidify and also be sure to run the fan on it's own (ie, no cooling) after you are done cooling (ie, before shutting unit off be sure to run the fan mode on it's own)...this allows for moisture to be evaporated more fully.... Now, this is probably not 100 percent completely evaporatiing...there may be conditions of high humidity where the unit cannot fully evaporate but so far for me it is working as it should - no moisture to drain!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does!
