• All portable air conditioners on the market require venting which removes the hot air in the room in order to bring the temperature down.

• You could hook up the outlet hose to your vent, and leave the intake hose off. That would make it work but the intake is going to be drawing air from the house. That will make the performance go down because you are now bringing new air all the time into that room to cool the condenser down, and blowing it out of the vent system. Not ideal but it will work. I hope this helps
