It works with games designed to do that (we have used two players - I cannot confirm 4) . Most modern games are moving away from supporting several players because of the demand for detailed high resolution screens, high refresh rates and a lot of game physics - which all means more computing needed for each screen. We used to have 4 of us playing on one xbox (the first version) but never see that any more. Many times we now see multiple xboxes and multiple TVs in the same home (even in the same "game room").
