Does your pc have an Express PCI slot? Does your power supply have a at least one un used 8 pin pci power connector? If the answer to both of these questions it should work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did a quick google search on the Dell XPS 8700, and I can't seem to find the specifications of that particular model. From what I've been able to gather from the pictures on Dell's website, it doesn't seem that the XPS 8700 would be compatible with this particular graphics card. It seems to be a outdated model of computer. There's a slim chance that it can work with that model, but all the components ( motherboard and ram) are so outdated that it wouldn't be able to take full advantage of what this graphics card can do. Sorry to break the bad news to you.
