  • QuestionWhy is this going up in price if no one is scalping the card?

    Asked by NetNoOne.

    • Answer It could be a few things. Steve from Hardward Unboxed on YouTube recommended the RX 6700 XT and at the time the RTX 3060 TI and RTX 3070 were way overpriced. The RTX 3070 can now be found on Best Buy for MSRP, but that's a founder's edition. The RTX 3060 TI founder's edition also can be found on Best Buy, but they sell out fast. IMO I think these GPUs are going up in price because some people don't find Ray Tracing all that great, prefer to play at native resolutions over using DLSS, don't use productivity software that favors Nvidia features and don't do game streaming that would use the NVENC encoder. The RX 6750 XT's 2 strongest selling points are the extra memory speed puts this GPU near or on par with the RX 6800 for 1080p and 1440p gaming at a lower price and unlike the RTX 3060 TI and the RTX 3070 it has 12gb of VRAM vs only 8gb. You can always price match Best Buy with Newegg and Amazon Prime and get an RX 6750 XT for MSRP or below if you look around.
