• The other answer is exactly correct. Both power plugs are needed regardless of the number of monitors you're using. If you think you can reduce that top end 263 watt power draw, you're incorrect.

• I'm not 100% sure but from my experience, you need all power connections to the GPU in order for the card to run properly, no matter the number of monitors you plan to hookup. Both 8 pin connectors need to be hookup to your PSU.

• Both 8-pin connectors are required to power on the card, regardless of number of monitors being connected to the card. I am using 1000W PSU with 13th gen i7.
