QuestionIs there a cost associated with using or downloading the associated Yale app used to send codes for this lock? Can more than 1 person use app for the same lock (e.g. property owner, and property manager)?

- Answer No costs at all! Yes, you can have unlimited guests using the app for access (you can choose app access or keypad access). You can also make another person an owner so that you can both program and share codes using the app.

QuestionAre the inside and outside units inextricably paired? I would like to put these on two entry doors. On one door my wife would love to have a black outside unit and bronze inside unit. The other door can be mismatched the other way. Any issues?

- Answer It is battery powered, and the app will tell you when it's time to replace the batteries. Takes about 15 seconds to take the lid off pull out the old ones and insert the new ones.

- Answer The Wi-Fi model does not work with Ring Alarm. Look for a Z-Wave model. You can swap the Wi-Fi module with a Z-wave module, but it would be better to find a model with Z-wave instead.

- Answer You can do it that, or you can create the codes for them and just text or give them the code. They do not have to use the app controls.

- Answer Functionally yes, they're the same apps just with different branding. Since I already had August door locks, I simply added this Yale lock to that existing account and app instead of starting over with the Yale app.
