“I was wondering if you can turn off the 5.1 when supplying sound to extra channels, say outside on patio?I dont want sound in TV room 5.1 and sound on patio 2.1 at same time. Thanks DSK”

• You should be able to do that by selecting the zones. The 2 outdoor speakers should be configured to, say, zone 2. Selecting zone 2 on the receiver should only output to that zone. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of having zones in the first place. Hope this helps :)
