Yes, there's an HDMI in and out/ARC. We connected the HDMI out/ARC to the ARC HDMI on the TV and it works with all inputs - turning on and off and controlling the volume with our TV remote. We also occasionally connect laptops using the HDMI in on the soundbar and it passes through to the TV just fine.

Apple TV, Cable box, PS4 etc. into the available HDMI slot and then plug another HDMI cable from the ARC slot on the sound bar to the ARC slot on your TV. The soundbar will pass through the video to the TV but keep the audio for itself. The benefit of this is as follows.... • High resolution audio since most TVs can't pass Dolby Digital or Dolby DTS but since the device is plugged into your soundbar, the soundbar will be able to decode the high resolution audio. • Leaves additional hdmi slots on your tv open so that you can add more devices. Just remember to go into your tv settings and in the audio/speaker section, turn off the TV speakers for the TV and set it to external speakers
