Since I don't know where you are playing your You Tube from but will consider multiple options and one may be your answer 1) Youtube played on the smart app on the TV itself, then the setup would be optical out from the TV should be connected to the optical input of the sound bar 2) Youtube played on a smart device (Roku/Sony Media Player/Smart Bluray-DVD player), HMDI from these devices to Yamaha Sound bars HDMI input and the HDMI ARC output on the Yamaha Sound bar to the Sony TV Comments. Yamaha 2.1 Sound bar really can fill a room at high volumes. Bass to has the capacity to fill the room
