• No you need a receiver for these speakers, it comes with 5 speakers and a bass plus some wire but not enough to fully wire up a true surround sound system. So I recommend you getting more wire. Again you want an instant plug in and use now speaker buy a sound bar.

• The 5.1 system is just speakers and a powered sub woofer you have to provide the receiver.
