I took some time to read the manual, and it does allow you to pair a Video source with a seperate Audio source. In other words, you could pair video HDMI3 with Audio 2, or HDMI1 and Audio 1 etc.. Nice feature, I purchased the unit today.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can watch your HDTV if it's connected to the first HDMI port on the receiver when you turn on your TV the receiver should also turn also if you have a Roku or Firestick connected the receiver will come on with the TV. Now for second part of your questions If I remember correctly I believe that you do have a connection in back for a analog item don't quote me. This particular has a Bluetooth Function so you can pair with your smartphone or tablet but you can't listen to two channels on this receiver at the same time.
