A: I took some time to read the manual, and it does allow you to pair a Video source with a seperate Audio source. In other words, you could pair video HDMI3 with Audio 2, or HDMI1 and Audio 1 etc.. Nice feature, I purchased the unit today.
Q: I have a SiriusXM subscription. Can I receive and play SiriusXM radio?
A: The best way I route SiriusXM is through a Roku Stick I have hooked up to one of the HDMI ports. It plays in beautiful stereo. I generally play music with the 5 speaker stereo sound and it is brilliant. The Sirius XM app works well, but is interrupted by my car when I put Siruis on it.
A: No. It uses IR, not RF. You can use a Harmony hub universal remote to do this, since that does work without line of sight.
A: Yes you can.
A: Works fine. Better than my pioneer. I am using with two kef 100s and 2 10” Klipsch subwoofers. The 2 subs smoothed the bass(one sub was boomy, good for movies not music), but over powered the kefs. Make sure you go through the speaker setup menu. I also toned down the output to the subs. Really dialog sound fine. When I didn’t set up it sounded muffled because it would go to a 5.1 setup and I don’t have rears or a center channel.
Q: How to connect front , center, rear and a subwoofer speakers to the Yamaha RXV483
A: All the speakers are directly wired to the receiver. The woofer uses an RCA jack, all others have Banana Jack/free wire connectability. You must run wires to the receiver. The devices below are what I hooked up.
Q: does this Yamaha amp have a phonograph hookup?
A: No, there is not a connection for a phonograph.
