Questionhow wide is the disc tray? What is the depth of the unit when the cd tray is open. This cd unit is going inside a cabinet.

- Answer The width of the Yamaha CD-C600 disc tray when it is open is 13 1/2”. When the tray is open it is 28” from the front of the tray to the back of the cabinet. You will need a depth of at least 17 1/2” when the tray is closed. The actual depth is 17.1”, but that does not account for the space you need for the power plug in the back of the unit. When I ordered my unit I knew it would be tight in my cabinet, but I had not accounted for the space required for the power plug. I just made it with a 1/2” clearance between my cabinet doors and the from of the unit.

QuestionWill the CD player play discs with up to 15 songs? The players I have used will not play anything over 8-10 songs on the disc without skipping

- Answer I've played CD's with over 20 songs on them with no problem. My old CD player used to do the same then started skipping as it got older.

- Answer I'm not familiar with how sonos speakers connect, but I am assuming you'd need a receiver to properly connect all of that.

- Answer I feed the output to a 5.1 receiver and it fills the room. I don't know about feeding directly to speakers.

- Answer Yes you can forward songs in random play mode. There's a small delay between songs, maybe 10 to 20 seconds while using random play mode. This unit works flawlessly, I highly recommend it.

- Answer Not a tuner, but it does need to be connected to an amplifier. Many times the tuner and amplifier are combined and that will work, too.

- Answer I hooked my CD player up to my home theater system and my smart TV via a stereo receiver. Best Buy carries a Yamaha 5.1 channel 4K Ultra HD A/V Home Theater Receiver which would probably do the trick for you.
