Yes, this sub will work with the YSP-1400. To connect them you need a subwoofer cable that is connected from the "subwoofer out" jack on the back of the soundbar and the other end of the cable is connected to the only input on the backside of the sub. When you see the cable and the connections it becomes pretty self-explanatory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The YSP-1400 has a subwoofer out port so you can use any standalone subwoofer as long as you connect it with a basic RCA subwoofer cable. If you are a newby to this space then I would recommend starting with something cheap to compliment your soundbar, like the Polk PSW108 or the Yamaha YST-SW012. Both of these are great entry level subs.
