• Mine is in a built in console recessed in the wall. The antennas at each rear corner are about 20 degrees off vertical and work just fine. This is the way the GEEK Squad installer set them. In a console, you might consider using a small fan to keep the receiver cool, as heat build up can damage electrical components. I got one for less than $10.
