That depends if your soundbar has a sub out or not. Without knowing the model of bar you have I can say yes or no. Another option could be if your TV has a sub out, which is rare.

The Sub Preout is for connecting to only a Powered Subwoofer. It will have all the high frequencies cut, its just the bass signal. Since this is a powered one, you will be fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know what inputs the Yamaha Sound Bar has, but this sub has an RCA input. If the sound bar has the same, you'll either need two bass outputs on your source or an RCA splitter (aka "Y connector") to hook them both up, but I assume it'd work. Hope this helps, John.
