Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was in the same situation you are. After asking many questions and doing lots of research I decided to go with the 2070 due to the higher wattage and sound clarity. It also depends what speakers you are driving. I have Bowers and Wilkins CM 9’s which require more power. I used the extra channels to bi amp the main speakers. For my setup this was definitely worth the extra money. I am not disappointed with my decision.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i would buy the 3070 model, i bought the 2070 unit to up grade to a 9.2 system. ( i added 4 ceiling speakers) which the 2070 will allow you to hook up, but the unit only has 9 built in amps. which won`t work with 11 speakers. i had to call yamaha to find this out.... i wish now i could sell mine to buy the 3070 model so think twice buy once...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi undecided, Yes this Yamaha unit will match excellently. However, if power is a concern? You may want to consider buying a Yamaha ATMOS / DTS-X pre-amp and a separate 9 channel amplifier to complete the package. Plenty of folks go that route to ensure that no power sags ever occur. ~ peace
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi undecided. I assume you made a choice already, but I initially started out with the A1070, but returned it for the A2070. The main reason was that the A1070 would not drive my main speakers. I had to crank the volume up well above reference (0 dB) to fill my room, potentially damaging my speakers. IMO, the A2070 is worth the extra cost.
