Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You cannot do a 7.2 & one zone with 2 speakers; You can do 5 speakers and 2 subwoofers and a zone with 2 speakers. You can however connect the speakers the way you suggested; 7.2 & 2 (main and a zone), but when the zone is activated the main back surround speakers will be turned off and it will be in 5.2 until you turn off the zone. The additional equipment you would need to run the config you suggested would be a pre-amp, or you could just buy a receiver a few steps up and that would solve your problem if money is not the issue.
