A:AnswerGo to Yamaha's website and download the firmware update 1.53 to a blank USB drive. Then follow Yamaha's instructions to install. Its only about a 3 step process. Takes a couple of minutes. Best Buy might be able to do it for you but I don't know if they charge to do it.
A:AnswerYou can use the analog RCA connections on your receiver to the RCA terminals on the cd player. Usually red and white RCA cable for left and right channels. There are usually several sets of RCA terminals on the back of the receiver. Some are even marked as CD and or DVD inputs. You will need an RCA cable. They come in 3ft-6ft lengths so make sure it will reach. The cd player might even come with the cable.
