QuestionAre the speakers wireless to the AM/FM receiver or are speaker wires included?

- Answer The speaker cables are included. They are not very long. I have the unit on a shelf and the speakers are only about 2 inches away from the unit at each side. I suppose they could be a bit further apart, but not much. This unit is much more solid than any other I have recently tried. It is wood and metal. We use it primarily for classical music as well as for radio (again the local classical program). We like it. But the speakers cannot be moved very far apart with the wires included and I don't think it would be too good to try to extend them. Hope this helps.

QuestionCan you hook it to an external antenna for the radio?

- Answer I am not sure of this, but it may be an important question because the unit I purchased could not pick up a SINGLE AM radio station in the middle of the city, even with the provided AM antenna connected. All it picked up was crazy-loud static/hum. The input for the provided antenna is clips for naked wires, so any external antenna with that kind of “connector” may be attached.

- Answer It is about 18" wide, 10" deep, and 5" high. If you keep the speakers next to the body. That does not include power cord, etc sticking out of the back.
