I got a 45 dollar glass screen protector and it is too hard to press and taps sometimes dont register and is peeling off so can I replace it with a plastic one or do I have to waste 45 dollars null

Try to go into settings and set the screen sensitivity to as light as you can. Screen on phone must be absolutely clean and dry, even no dust. The glass protector will do a better job for you and will not scratch like the plastic willl.

Some newer android phones have a setting for glass screens to make them more sensitive. Settings, advanced settings, touch sensitively. However if it is peeling off then yes you would need to purchase another form of protection.

Did you try turning on the "Touch Sensitivity" setting under the "Display" section? At least, that's what you would do with a Samsung. That setting is specifically used for screen protectors. If you don't have a Samsung, then maybe there's a comparable setting on your device.

Also, you need to go to Display Settings, then Navigation Bar, and Turn up the Home Button pressure setting. It seems a little counterintuitive, but if the pressure setting is set too low, it's hard for it to register while using a harder screen protector. On my Galaxy S9+, if I set the pressure setting to one step below maximum, my home button works just fine.

You didn't mention your phone in your question. I have the Galaxy S9+ and went with the Zagg-InvisibleShield Curve Screen Protector. The instructions specifically recommend turning the screen sensitivity up to max in the phone software. I haven't had an issue. Your phone may be different. But look in your settings to see if that sensitivity can be adjusted.

Honestly, I bought a cheap pack of 2,because if they break, it won't be expensive to replace. I wouldn't recommend this brand, because if you press too hard on it, the screen will crack.

In the settings, on your phone, type in the word "sensitivity" in the search field. This should bring up the advanced settings feature where you will be able to turn on the "touch sensitivity" which is suggested when you have a screen saver affixed to your phone.

There is a setting on your phone that controls the sensitivity of the screen once you have applied a screen saver. I would encourage you to google the instructions to adjust the sensitivity of your phone. I did this, and my phone works like new now. If it is peeling off, you may have to contact Zagg for a replacement protector. The plastic ones do not protect your phone!.
