Yes; it adheres to the glass face just like a phone protector. However, the bumper really helps if you hit your watch on things or drop it.

There is a model for only the screen protector which is cheaper than the entire protection package.

Yes, the glass protector is separate from the bumper. It can be purchased without the bumper. I wanted the extra protection of the bumper to prevent marring or scratching of the watch case.
