“will the zagg protector hinder the use of the stylus on surface pro 2? I just got the surface pro 2 and the zagg screen protector from best buy. It seems a little intimidating to adhere without screwing it up. If I do put this screen protector on will it hinder the use of the stylus at all? If I take this back to best buy, will the geek squad put this on for me? I don't want to ruin the device. And I want the stylus to without being affected by the screen protector. Thanks, debbie”

My stylus works fine on both my phone and my tablet. The Zagg shield does not affect the use of stylus pens at all. I'm not sure if the geek squad would install it for you but there's other sales associates that could help you. The trick is to ensure that you are working on a clean surface, using non-lint paper towels or dishcloth, and use enough of the applicator spray to keep the shield (and your fingers) wet - not just moist, but wet. Work quickly and don't worry about bubbles - you can squeegie them out after. But work from one side to the other (I go top to bottom) and ensure your device is turned off so no "water" damage is done.

I let the geek squad apply it. They did have to reapply a new one because it bubbled. As long as you keep recipient the will apply a second one. And if you register the purchase on zagg website it is a free replacement. You have to send old one back. Make sure you send using a tracking method and call them to make sure you are not charged. I use the stylus all the time. It does not affect it. I also use the cleaner wipes on both devices as well as my eyeglasses and desktop monitor. It does not leave residue or dull the surfaces.

The protector does not hinder the use of the pen, but be aware that the handwriting could be permanently indented into the screen protector. As far as applying the protector, just follow the instructions using the included squeegee & water & you can have it done in less than 10 minutes. I hope this helps you.

I installed my Zagg..was intimidated, too. Just be liberal with the spray so the protector can slide into place easily. Good luck!

Please try again later.It doesn't really hinder it, but the screen protector indents as you use the stylus so, before long, you have a screen protector filled with scribbles. Not bad at first, but if you use your stylus a lot it gets bad. I'm going to look for a screen protector that's a bit more "firm" and pull this one off. HTH
