“I have a iPad Pro 9.7 and just got a rugged book, but there are no openings for the speakers. Does this particular one have openings? If not is there one that does?”

Yes. I also had a Rugged Book which I used on my iPad Pro. I had to drill holes for the speakers and the camera hole didn't fit so I had to drill a larger hole for it as well. I exchanged it for this Zagg Rugged Book Pro and it's vastly superior. Has the speaker holes, a place for the Apple Pencil, etc. Great product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are no holes, but there are channels that direct the sound toward the front of the screen. The sound quality is just as good if not better than if there were open holes on the side.
