• The last one on my generation 2 IPad lasted 6 years by then I was ready for a new IPad.

• It doesn't have a replaceable battery. Contact Zagg within warranty period and they might replace it for the cost of shipping.

• I don't know. The keyboard is sealed. The directions say this does not to be charged very often. The keyboard runs on its own battery, I charged it when I got it and have not charged it again after a month of use. I hope this helps.
