A:AnswerNO, the Zenfone 4 *Max* does not. Source: the spec sheet, and I also own one. It only supports Wi-Fi b/g/n, which means no wireless ac (5GHz).
The non-Max Zenfone 4 does support 5GHz. Go figure.

A:AnswerIt can be enabled for wi-fi calling in Settings, however, it does not work for T-Mobile wi-fi calling as of October 2017 per my own use and what's being reported on other Internet Tech Forums. I am currently in discussion with Asus Taiwan in a tech forum about this issue.
