• A:Answer It looks as if the 36" is actually the glass, not the intake grill which is perhaps 20". I was thinking of making my own iron rail and was just curious about how substantial the whole thing is. It is kinda short sighted to not furnish any hood with a rail. You mighta had an engineer on your design squad.
