We don't recommend altering the wiring on the unit as this can cause operational issues with your rangehood and will no longer be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. • A:Answer Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute. This refers to how much air is being pulled out by the hood. Depending on the size of your range and how many burners you use will determine the CFM you will need. Thank you.
