“Do the outdoor cameras have to be sheltered ? If so can anyone recommend a system where the outdoor cameras do not have to be sheltered.”

• The outdoor cameras don't have to be sheltered but because they are not designed with a sun shield per say, you would get better images if they were installed under an awning or roof soffit during the mid day hours.

• I had the camera outside and exposed to the elements. They were not sheltered other than by the wall that they are attached to. After 6 months there are no negative effects to the cameras.
