• yes you only need to have a power connection in that room and it connects automatically as long as you set it up before

• Yes! As long as it reconnects with the same router it was initially setup on, the camera will come back online almost immediately. I have moved mine a few times for similar reasons and it always reconnects so you can view on the app.
