“I Need to put it outside to record at night. So once it's hooked up will it record constantly than let my phone know if someone gos in front of it? I need it to watch My daughter's window”

if you have it set up through the cloud it'll record if you just set it up it will notify you if some one goes in front of it & you can view current & recorded action whenever you want
