“Does the Zmodo app work in the background on an IOS device? Or to get the motion alerts, does the app have to be on the screen?”

• To get the alerts, you need to have your settings customized. If I leave the setting at "home" I don't get the alerts. If I keep it at "away" the number of alerts will show on the app icon or I will get a notification if my phone is locked.
