With extension down to 17Hz, below the threshold of human hearing, the SB-5000 R|Evolution brings sound to life with visceral, jaw-dropping impact.

The all new 9x has even greater output than before, but the headline news is the way it sacrifices nothing in clarity and transparency to achieve this. Dynamo subwoofers pack an incredible feature list and impressive power into a stylish, compact, room friendly package. With extensive technology including built-in wireless signal connection, anti-vibration feet, and easy to use app control, Dynamo series subwoofers not only look and sound incredible, but are extremely user friendly. Although correct placement plays a key role in optimizing subwoofer performance, getting a cable where you need it can be challenging. With the inconvenience of running long lengths of cable through walls, along baseboards or under floors and carpets, properly concealing the subwoofer cable is not always a simple task. To solve the problem, Dynamo subwoofers incorporate a built-in Wireless Receiver for use with the included Wireless Subwoofer Transmitter. With quick and easy setup thanks to direct pairing, eliminating cable clutter has never been easier and with lossless transmission and low latency, even the most discerning enthusiast will be thrilled with the results. Solid bass performance is a critical component of any audio system, and helps provide visceral impact to your entertainment. The integrated anti-vibration feet improve bass performance while reducing floor and wall vibrations. By dramatically reducing the energy transfer between the subwoofer and the floor, unwanted room rattles and buzzes are removed, leaving tighter, cleaner bass and improved system clarity and dynamics. As a less intrusive alternative to acoustic room treatments, the integrated anti-vibration feet on Dynamo Series subwoofers can also help minimize noise complaints by reducing vibration transfers into adjoining rooms. Ideal for all floors, hard surface and carpet spike options are both included. Dynamo Series subwoofers also take advantage of MartinLogan’s Subwoofer Control app for iOS and Android devices, allowing you to easily adjust settings like Volume, DSP Mode, Phase, and many others right from the comfort of your seat for ultimate control and ease of tuning. With 3 DSP modes for Movies, Music, or Night, you can optimize the performance of your subwoofer with a single press in the app. Choose Movie for the highest output, Music for lowest distortion, or Night to tame things down and help reduce noise complaints. With connections for both RCA and XLR LFE, Stereo RCA, and Speaker level, Dynamo Series subwoofers are an ideal choice for both Home Theater and Music applications, integrating seamlessly into any system. The Subwoofer Out connection also makes it easy to add additional subwoofers to your system, further increasing bass performance. As with all MartinLogan subwoofers, the Dynamo Series is designed to work with any speaker system while also being uniquely engineered to keep pace with the renowned clarity of MartinLogan loudspeakers. Dynamo Series subwoofers offer highly detailed and powerful bass performance in a stylish and compact package.

I was looking to upgrade, even though I have some pretty good subs already in my Home theater. Two SVS 3000’s. For now, I unhooked one of the SVS subs. I made the new REL my main stage sub. I gave a little time before making this review. First things first it’s a beautiful piece of audio equipment. It’s different than the SVS subs in that it’s more precise. Last night I watched the movie Extraction 2. Not only does this help the soundtrack of the movies you’re watching. Gun shots, explosions, helicopters, vehicles, driving by all sound more real with this as my main stage sub. I was wanting to try the JL audio or Bowers and Wilkens. I think my search is over right here.

I’ve owned pretty much every high end subwoofer brand one could purchase from SVS, Klipsch, Velodyne, Bowers & Wilkins etc. I’ve had this subwoofer for a few weeks and seems to get better quality with each movie or album I play on this subwoofer. This subwoofer for a 15’ inch woofer has shockingly precise quick responsive low bass that fills my living room with loud quality bass! The cabinet on this subwoofer is high quality for a 2k subwoofer for sure! I’m going to purchase another one of these soon to place on the other side of my entertainment system for even more room filling bass, eventually I’m going to stack them 3 high on each side!!!

My first exposure to Rel was quite some time ago when I heard their Britannia line and was very impressed; very musical as everyone knows about Rel! But around the same time I was very much into the HT thing and had been fortunate to acquire Sunfire’s very first True Sub. Not long afterwards, I upgraded to the Signature model; it has served me very well for a very long time. Fast forward to today; I had never really forgotten the musicality of the aforementioned Rel Britannia. I decided it was time to revisit Rel. The HT/1510 is a fantastic upgrade replacing an already formidable Sunfire TSEQ12 no longer in production, at least the Bob Carver US version. Coming from the TSEQ12, I had extremely high expectations for this Predator! I’m happy to report all of my bass requirements in terms of slam, definition, palpable dynamics and purely musical elements and more exist in this beast of a subwoofer! Prior to acquiring the HT/1510, I had considered Adam Audio Sub15 at nearly fifty percent more and only because my HT consists of all Adam Audio pro-audio active monitors. I’ve since decided not to pursue the Sub15 due in large part to how the Predator performs; very seamless integration with my entire system. Not only is the bass so much better than ever, but the entire frequency spectrum of midrange and high frequencies has improved dramatically with a soundstage that just feels so right and natural, not to mention very deep and wide. My HT has never sounded better and rivals anything I’ve yet seen or heard to date. All this and the Predator hasn’t even been completely broken in; it just keeps getting better every day. I had even considered acquiring two HT/1510’s but after configuring one properly and hearing it perform so well, I don’t even feel the need for two. Although it would be awesome to have a pair!
