Paired this with some Sonance outdoor speakers and was able to create a whole home experience with Sonos speakers in each room and using the Amp to connect to the outdoor speakers I can go anywhere and hear music. Easy to use and setup, the only negative is that when you clean the unit (we are very dusty here in AZ) you have to be careful or you will start the unit playing (Amp is indoors vs outdoor speakers).

I own 4 Sonos speakers and have always loved the brand. Upon moving to a new house that has built in speakers inside and outside, I needed an amp. I looked no further than the Sonos Amp as it works seamlessly with my other Sonos speakers. I have this amp powering 4 speakers (2 inside and 2 outside) and it has plenty of power. My speakers sound great and I love that I can have all my speakers playing the same thing or different things. Yes it’s pricey, but you pay for quality.

Great option for a space not suited for a soundbar

I bought this to drive two passive front floor speakers in order to replace a Sonos Arc Soundbar that under-performed due to 20+ foot ceilings in my great room. The Arc Soundbar was also driving two Sonos Era300 surrounds and a Gen 3 sub to deliver my 5.1 set up. Unfortunately, the Sonos Amp does not support the Era300 surrounds, leaving me with a very expensive 2.1 set up with the Era300's simply being additional front speakers positioned where surrounds would normally be. This was a HUGE surprise to the store designer and the store install team, not to mention me, since the Era300's are not cheap. Best Buy management did the right thing and swapped out my Era300's for Era100's which DO connect as surrounds to the Sonos Amp, so I'm back to my 5.1 set up. THANK YOU BEST BUY for doing this!

This is an absolutely fantastic amplifier! It enables us not only to use normal device inputs into a high quality system, but also to stream music from our phones, computers, tablets, or other devices from all sorts of sources and services! Fantastic!

You can go wrong with these amps. A have a couple of them in order to section different rooms in my house. Best thing is that they are stackable. No heat problems or streaming feed. I deciden to connect them via LAN in order to downsize the wifi devices. Best thing is that they create their on wifi in order to talk to other sonos speakers.

This is just what I needed to power a set of outdoor speakers. Quality, like all my other Sonos gear, is very good. It’s pretty pricey for what it is, but still a good addition to my home. I did have some setup glitches. Needed to upgrade from the Sonos S1 app to S2, and therefore had to drop a couple of older Sonos speakers from my system. The Sonos S1 and S2 iOS apps got into an upgrade loop where each app told me I had to use the other to continue which was frustrating. I finally was able to get the system updated from the Sonos app on my computer, deleted and reinstalled S2 on my iPhone, and it’s all been good since.

Bought it to pair some bower & Wilkins m1 speakers to my sonos arc and sonos sub. 125 watts to those speakers makes it sounds great especially for music. I switch it to 2.1 with those speakers and my Martin Logan sub for music and for movies I use the arc , sonos sub and amp powering these surrounds. The sonos arc mimic surround speakers but when you actually have rear surrounds it just feels different.

    Sonos Amp in office

I went with this Sonos for my office as the amp that was in there was stolen by the workers renovating the office. One of my colleagues recommended the Sonos Amp to run the 5 speakers that were already installed in the space. So I did not need to have Sonos speakers to utilize this. I am able to control the master volume etc from my phone and still allow other people to connect and run music etc. It is has been a perfect addition for me!

I purchased this to run my SVS Ultra Bookshelf Speakers, and so far, it’s running them better than anything has so far. I love the connectivity with all of my streaming platforms, and how easy it is to use. I especially love the fact that I am able to purchase other Sonos products and they will all connect and play together. It’s the best way to get whole home audio if you want wireless.

Sonos Amp set-up was very simple. Initially I had a popping noise coming from one of my rear surround sound speakers. Found there was a faulty terminal on the amp. Took back to Best Buy, got a new amp and installed same way as the original, popping no longer there. Adding the amp to hook up surround sound ceiling speakers was a great choice. Paired with the Sonos Arc, my system sounds great and movie nights are amazing!

We upgraded from a Sonos Connect Amp that was almost a decade old. I was shook by the power this little amp pushes. Our outdoor speakers have never sounded better! The only problem is our neighbors have to put up with concert quality music all summer :)

Sonos is the Mac of audio systems. Love it or hate it, it simply works. I’m an admitted snob when it comes to audio. Years ago I might have called myself a true audiophile and admittedly had way too much money invested in boutique equipment. These days life moves too fast and it’s nice just just hit play and receive instant audio gratification. I drive a pair of vintage Bose 8.2 (all you Bose haters can stop before you even start…we’re not not talking Acoustic-Junk. If you’ve never heard the older Bose speakers you’re completely unqualified to comment) floor standing speakers with this amp along with an SVS Pro 12” sealed sub and it’s amazing. I have wireless Sonos speakers throughout the rest of the house and an older Sonos Connect Amp driving a pair of Wharfedale’s in another listening room. Sonos isn’t the least expensive system but whole house, excellent quality sound at a reasonable price is priceless.

I had heard decent reviews from friends with the prior generation, but the power wasnt enough to push 2 sets of speakers. In lieu of having 4 amps, was able to consolidate to 2 and sound is incredible. The Sonos amp is well designed and the integration with most streaming services is a huge benefit. Alexa skills allow me to operate handsfree anywhere in the house and fill the place with music.

This is a top notch amp. I do wish it had more inputs so that you could use multiple sources such as an additional equalizer or tape deck.
