I bought it to record music-videos onto an iPad using the Acapella app. With a USB-Lightning adapter all you have to do is plug it in and it works. There is a bunch of internet info about complicated ways to hook it up to Apple devices, but they are not necessary. It also can be mounted on a traditional mic stand. The omnidirectional mode makes it work for simultaneous recording of guitar and vocals. It also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for real-time monitoring of input levels.
